The ultra soft woolen shawl features a unique cutwork along it's border, popularly known as palla alongwith imprints of traditional Kashmiri motifs. Ideal to wear on a cold winter morning, the shawl is an impeccable combinatio of boldness and delicate beauties. NOTE: The actual color of the wrap may slightly differ due to photographic effects.
When his elder brother started to make Pashminas in the early 90's, Mohammed Amin had no idea that he would one day take this to new heights. Since then, there has been no looking back and from the past 23 years, 8 groups of 50+ skilled artisans have been crafting marvels out of plain Pashmina shawls. Mohammed Amin aims to target the modern woman who is still rooted to traditions but loves modish designs and patterns in how she dresses up.
Sozni, like many other arts of Kashmir was brought in to Kashmir by the Sufi mystic, Shah-e-Hamdan. The embroidery is done by hand, with a small needle that at the hands of the artisan works magic on a Shawl. Sozni is also done on other apparel in the fabrics of cotton, silk and wool. Though the embroidery is extremely fine on the Pashmina Shawls as compared to the silk, cotton or woolen fabric, the charm it inspires is nonetheless the same.
